Hi maintainers,
I noticed that the latest official release still carries the FreeBSD 13.x user-space stack (plus selective back-ports), while FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT has already introduced a lot of network-stack improvements (e.g. updated TCP stacks, new KPIs, iflib enhancements, etc.).
Could you share the project’s upgrade roadmap?
- Is there any plan to migrate F-Stack to FreeBSD 15.x in the next few releases?
- If yes, is there a rough timeline or target branch that contributors can start testing against?
- If not, are there technical blockers (API changes, performance risk, lack of man-power) that the community could help with?
Knowing the plan (or the lack thereof) will help downstream users decide whether to wait for 15-based bits or continue patching 13.x ourselves.
Thanks for the great work on F-Stack!
