Absolute Johannes factotum
- SCP-1216 (?)
- SCP-1216 refers to a species of pyramid-shaped creatures, ranging in size from small to very large, that live in a desert-like alternate dimension. These creatures have four flexible legs and two antennae with bronze spheres, and they are made of a tough, dark gray material. They consume scrap metal that appears from the sand in their dimension, but they don't grow or reproduce in the traditional sense; instead, a massive pyramid in their home dimension, SCP-1216-3, periodically creates new instances. Access to this dimension is primarily through a stable portal, SCP-1216-1, located in a parking garage in Lenox, Massachusetts, but temporary portals, SCP-1216-4, also appear at junkyards and garbage dumps on Earth, sucking in scrap metal. The creatures are harmless to humans and show no reaction to being attacked or having their food taken.
- Cadaver Synod (?)
- The Cadaver Synod was a bizarre ecclesiastical trial held in January 897, where Pope Stephen VI exhumed the nine-month-dead body of his predecessor, Pope Formosus, to stand trial in Rome. Formosus was accused of perjury, illegally ascending to the papacy, and holding multiple dioceses simultaneously. The corpse was propped on a throne, a deacon spoke for it, and after being found guilty, Formosus's papacy was retroactively declared null, his papal vestments were stripped, the fingers he used for blessings were cut off, and his body was thrown into the Tiber River. This macabre event backfired, leading to public outrage, Stephen VI's imprisonment and strangulation, and subsequent synods that annulled the Cadaver Synod and rehabilitated Formosus.
